App development
Mobile apps with Flutter: from the first idea through state management and offline mode to a release on the App Store and Play Store.

02 — About
I am 20 years old, from Hamburg, studying business informatics in a dual programme. It started as a teenager with my own games and club websites – and grew into things like RideOnIt, a Flutter app with its own backend, maps and more than a hundred achievements.
These days I move between app and web: Flutter and Dart for mobile, Supabase and SQL for everything behind it, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP on the web. Plus the parts nobody sees – hosting, domains, deployment and data protection.
Even though I spend a lot of time in front of a screen, staying active matters to me – especially volleyball, one of my biggest passions. The perfect counterweight to the digital world, and often where new ideas come from.
Smaller things happen alongside: tools for university, pages for friends and clubs, experiments with frameworks I cannot use yet. I learn the most from projects that turn out bigger than I first thought.

01
Mobile apps with Flutter: from the first idea through state management and offline mode to a release on the App Store and Play Store.
02
Hand-written code instead of builder bloat. Clean markup, fast loading and animation that serves the content instead of burying it.
03
What happens behind the surface: modelling databases, getting auth and permissions right, wiring up APIs and storing data so it still makes sense later.
04
A rough idea turns into a layout: structure, typography, colour and a flow nobody has to fight through.
05
Domains, SSL, mail delivery, deployment and the legally required bits – the part that never shows up in a portfolio and without which nothing goes live.
06
Four things that stay fairly constant:
CuriosityI start projects because I want to know how something works.
PersistenceI have been working on RideOnIt for months – a good share of that was debugging.
AskingBetter to ask once too often than to build past the point.
Writing it downI document what I build – if only for myself six months later.
Most of it I learned because a project grew bigger than planned.

04 — Work
Two projects I spent real time on: an app that made it to the store, and a website that simply does its job.
01 Project 2026 — today
iOS & Android app
A Flutter app for ride tracking: GPS recording with distance, speed and statistics, generated routes, a live map of other riders, crews, events and a territory game where you claim areas while riding. Backend, database and permissions run on Supabase, maps on MapLibre, routing through Valhalla.
—Also
Tools for university, experiments with frameworks I cannot use yet, and pages for friends and clubs. Most of it ends up on GitHub rather than in a portfolio.
05 — Journey
From computer science class through the first paid projects to a dual degree – every stop added something.
EDEKA IT Stiftung & Co. KG
Business informatics and project integration: supporting IT projects between business units and development, and learning how large systems really fit together.
Freelance
Building and maintaining websites and web applications, smaller projects and turning UI/UX drafts into working interfaces for clients.
Grammar school
Focused on computer science classes and extracurriculars in IT and programming – where my first games and club websites were born.
06 — Contact
Questions about a project, feedback on the app, or just saying hi – my inbox is open. I usually reply the same day.
